§ 14-20.1. Contempt of court.

  • (a)

    Any person who fails to appear in response to any summons, summons and complaint or subpoena served on such person commits contempt of court and upon proof thereof, in a hearing appropriate to the case, is subject to the penalties as provided in section 1-15(c) hereof.

    (b)

    The judge may punish other contempt of court offenses by a fine or imprisonment, or a combination of fine and imprisonment, upon proof thereof, after a hearing appropriate to the case.
